The loss of a loved one is difficult, but that doesn't mean the funeral has to be dark or sombre. We are allowed to celebrate the life lived as well as mourning the life lost.
I specialise in queer facing funerals, living wakes and dead name ceremonies, ensuring chosen family and biological family are included in the planning process. As a genderqueer gay man and a nurse of over 20 years, I have lived experience of the specific trials queer people can face at the end of life.
I am not affiliated in any religions, what I offer are humanist funeral services. If your person was religious in life, I can recommend other avenues to find a fitting celebrant.
I offer pre-planned services that honour the wishes of the dying and can support end-of-life planning for those on palliative pathways.

What Do I get
- 30 hours planning per service.
- Every service is treated as an individual event.
- Up to 3 x 1 hour consultation (over the phone or in person) can be with multiple loved ones.
- One personalised guest inclusive ritual based on something meaningful to the deceased.
- 3 hours availability for the ceremony.
- Liaison with the funeral director about timings, locations and other particulars.Please note: I am a funeral Celebrant, not a funeral director. I don't co-ordinate burials, cremations, body transfers or legal paperwork. A Funeral Director is required for those elements.

- Anybody who is open to a genderqueer Funeral Celebrant who treats farewells as celebrations of life.
